bad day?

dopo una notte passata a dare la caccia ad una zanzara fuori tempo massimo più degli stessi oasis, una quantità di punture subite mai raggiunta in passato ad opera da un insetto probabilmente addestrato dai corpi speciali per mimetizzarsi tra i poster nella mia stanza, nonostante stessi con i sensi all'erta tipo rutger hauer in furia cieca impugnando la racchetta da elettroshock che in passato mi diede tante soddisfazioni, soccombetti impotente, lo ammetto, richiudendomi al 100% sotto le coperte, rischiando più volte il soffocamento. venni svegliato, oltre che dal prurito sull'unico lembo di pelle che era fuoriuscito dall'improvvisato rifugio, da una pioggia monsonica contro la mia finestra. tale risveglio brusco mi permise sì di eliminare una volta per tutte il rispettevole nemico della notte tramite electrocution, ma anche di realizzare contemporaneamente che la sveglia stava suonando e che tra pochi minuti avrei dovuto guidare la vespa per una quindicina di km sotto suddetta pioggia.

lo scorso weekend noi si è andati al festival qui sopra. inutile dire che si è trattato del festival più figo a cui mi sia capitato di assistere negli ultimi anni. è stata graditissima la non-trasversalità del programma, eccezionale da parte dell'organizzazione decidere di limitare il target delle due serate a max 1-2 generi, senza svarioni, totalmente fuori moda, senza screamo e senza metalcore o post-metal, e via così. migliori del lotto hoover, bluetip (vedi video qui sotto) e arcwelder (c'era da dubitarne?) , ma soprattutto Enablers, che proveremo a (ri)portare in italia in primavera. thumbs up per la bcore. assolutamente.

per il resto, una manciata di dischi acquistati al festival e una manciata di dischi trovati in cassetta al mio rientro. su tutti spiccava un paccone della Corleone Records (coincidenze: l'unico disco che possedevo era il primo 7" solista di Jason Farrell, acquistato la prima volta che vidi i bluetip secoli fa). nel pacchetto il DVD celebrativo della label "EVERYTHING I OWN IS BROKEN OR BENT" (come la canzone di Jason Farrell, guardacaso), i nuovi Night Wounds e, soprattutto, Lazy Magnets, quest'ultimo in lizza per la top 5 dei dischi dell'anno (ascoltare per credere, un trip multigenere, tanto mangiacervello quanto easy e in apparenza inconcludente, una tale quantità di carne al fuoco da sistemare i barbecue di ferragosto per i prossimi 25 anni. meraviglioso).

ho sviluppato e provinato una manciata di rullini, ma per ora mi posso scordare di trovare un pomeriggio libero per chiudermi in camera obscura, quindi paziento. pazienza.
